Congrats to Manufacturing team on BIT Award for Improving Operational Performance
Linwave is proud to announce the first six employees to successfully complete an Intermediate level apprenticeship in Improving Operational Performance (Business Improvement Techniques) in Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies. The candidates had to complete an 18 month program consisting of theory, practical group work, written exams and on-the-job assessments in order to gain the qualification. As part of the process they had to undertake production line based projects and demonstrate their ability to analyse the existing set-up, identify and implement improvements.
Of the two projects completed to date, throughput of Amplifier and Transceiver products has been significantly enhanced. The team reduced operational travel time, improved both organisation and communication between manufacturing personnel. They will now move on to other areas of the wider business.
