Nano BUCs

Linwave are pleased to introduce a range of world leading sub-miniature Block Up Converter (nBUC) Modules.

Designed specifically for military SatCom and commercial mobile communication systems the Nano BUC is ideally suited to the latest generation of compact 'fly away' terminals and 'man pack' applications. Utilising Linwave's extensive BUC design and development experience the Nano BUC combines outstanding RF performance in an industry leading mechanical volume to provide a state of the art BUC module.

The Nano BUC is capable of driving an external SSPA or TWTA directly. Alternatively, the BUC can be integrated with Linwave's chip and wire GaN based SSPA modules to provide a very compact integrated higher output power module. Output powers up to 20W are available.

The design utilises a combination of chip and wire and SMD technologies to produce the performance and small size.

The local oscillator uses a novel low cost phase locked loop oscillator design with the ability to accept both internal and external references. This topology exceeds the phase noise requirements of MIL-STD-188-164A and IESS308.
