One of England’s most beautiful and historic cities. Lincoln is situated in the heart of the East Midlands, two and a half hours north of London within easy reach of road, rail and air networks.

Lincoln is a city steeped in history, its heritage can be traced back to pre Roman times with evidence of Roman settlement still visible throughout the city. The Normans built Lincoln castle on the site of a former Roman fortress and the world famous medieval Cathedral dominate the cities skyline.

In the twentieth century Lincoln’s prominence grew in mechanical engineering resulting in the invention and development of the WW1 tank. In the post war years Lincoln established itself as a centre of electronic and RF/microwave engineering excellence much of which continues today.

Lincoln of today can be viewed as two cities within one.

The smaller historic part of the city is centred on the Cathedral and Castle situated on the top of the Lincoln edge with a host of exclusive shops, restaurants and bars.

The younger vibrant city with the recently built University is situated at the foot of the Lincoln edge. The modern city possesses all of the shopping and entertainment facilities one would associate with a thriving city coupled with obvious links to it’s former heritage.

Linwave Technology’s roots are firmly established from within Lincoln’s considerable microwave engineering fraternity, our modern facility being situated on the South West edge of the city.

From the South

Take the A46 from Newark to Lincoln. The A46 becomes the Lincoln bypass at the roundabout with the A1434. Stay on the A46 (signposted to Lincoln Central and North).

After approximately 1 mile turn right at the staggered crossroads onto Whisby Road (The Pride of Lincoln pub is situated at the crossroads). If you miss the turning there’s a roundabout approximately ¼ mile past the junction.

Whisby Way is approximately ½ mile down Whisby Road on the left hand side. Linwave is situated at the T junction at the bottom of Whisby Way.

From the North

Join the A46 Lincoln bypass and follow directions for Newark.

Stay on the A46 until you pass the Mercedes and Volvo Garages (just after the B1190 roundabout).

After approximately ¼ mile turn left at the staggered crossroads onto Whisby Road (The Pride of Lincoln pub is situated at the crossroads.)

Whisby Way is approximately ½ mile down Whisby Road on the left hand side. Linwave is situated at the T junction at the bottom of Whisby Way.
